Stainless Steel Kimberwick with Cyprium Correctional Low Port (MB 27LP) Copper Inlay Mouth. This mouthpiece is made of Cyprium, a nickel-free copper alloy that encourages salivation. About the mouthpiece: the 27LP is a Myler correctional mouthpiece, a ported mouthpiece that collapses on to the outer lip and bars, and rotates on to the tongue. The port, although narrow, offers room for the tongue to pass under the bit and swallow. The angles of the port are pronounced, so when the reins are engaged and the mouthpiece rotates on to the tongue, it applies two concentrated points of pressure on the tongue. Because this port is 1 ¼" high, it will apply little to no palate pressure. The curved mouthpiece wraps the horse’s mouth, allowing more space for the tongue under the bit. Because this mouthpiece collapses and the angles of the port are pronounced, it offers very quick control. This mouthpiece does not offer Independent Side Movement .
