Back on Track Therapeutic Shoulder Guard This shoulder guard is ideal for minimizing the effects of rubbing and chafing from blankets. It has removable pads across the chest and on both sides of the withers to reduce pressure. It is easy to apply, it slips over the head and has a Velcro belly strap. This has the Back on Track revolutionary Welltex fabric that supplies far infrared therapy that may sooth and relieve stiffness and injuries to muscles and soft tissues. The Shoulder Guard should be introduced gradually. It is recommended for 2-4 hours for the first 3-4 days and then leave it on overnight. After the introductory period this can also be worn prior to exercise to help muscles warm up. After 3-4 weeks it can be used 3-6 days per week. This can be used under a fleece blanket or mesh sheet. It is not recommended for turnout. You may notice a reduction of muscular stiffness within a few hours or a few days. It may be necessary to persevere for 10 to 30 days, especially with established long-term injuries. Please note, physical responses can vary. Choose the shoulder guard size the same as you would choose for a blanket. You may see a difference in your horse! Machine washable up to 86 F or 30 C. Don not use bleach or fabric softeners. Air dry only, do not tumble dry. Please note this item is not to be compared with magnetic therapy.
